The Biomarker Evaluation for All Meningioma (BEAM) study

The Biomarker Evaluation for All Meningioma (BEAM) study aims to use prospective tumor samples to develop new biomarkers for this type of brain tumor. The study also seeks to further validate a 34-gene expression biomarker that was developed by UCSF researchers using a retrospective discovery cohort of 173 meningiomas from UCSF and more than 2,000 retrospective meningioma samples from 13 medical centers across three continents.

This study is open to all adult UCSF patients with a meningioma diagnosis.

Study participants are asked to sign two forms to grant permission for the research team to access their medical records and tumor samples for research purposes.
