Dr. Raffel is a pediatric neurosurgeon with expertise in all types of pediatric neurological disorders. He has over 30 years of experience in the diagnosis and surgical management of pediatric neurosurgical disorders in the Bay Area community. He has been involved in several research programs aimed at finding new treatments for childhood brain tumors, with a particular focus on pediatric medulloblastoma, neurofibromatosis, and virotherapies for medulloblastoma and AT/RT. Dr. Raffel also leads UCSF's pediatric neurosurgery outreach service at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA.
