Desiree Angelo, LCSW

Clinical Social Worker

Desiree Angelo is a clinical social worker at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is a member of the UCSF Neuro-Oncology Gordon Murray Caregiver Program, which provides education, support, and resources for caregivers of brain tumor patients.

Prior to joining the cancer center, Desiree worked at UCSF Citywide with the Adult Probation Team for four years. She worked at the Felton Institute before joining UCSF.

Desiree earned her master's degree at New York University's Silver School of Social Work. While in graduate school, she specialized in domestic violence prevention and intervention services. Since moving to California, Desiree has worked in a variety of community mental health settings serving adults with serious mental illnesses. In addition to her current role with UCSF Neuro-Oncology Gordon Murray Caregiver Program, she maintains a private practice in San Francisco.
