Jennifer Viner, CRN, MS, NP
Specialties: Adult brain tumors
Jennifer Viner is a nurse practitioner who specializes in working with adult patients in neuro-oncology undergoing surgery for brain tumors including glioma, brain metastasis and meningioma. Viner helps patients throughout their hospitalization and ensures coordinated follow-up care.
Viner's doctoral research focused on evaluating nurse-practitioner led models of care. She is involved in various hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving the coordination of care across multiple medical specialties for the care of patients with brain tumors. She also assists in producing publications for patient education.
Viner is an assistant clinical professor at the UCSF School of Nursing. She is also an NP3, a position UCSF awards to a select few nurses who demonstrate excellence through advanced clinical practice, education, leadership and service.
Following her passion for global volunteerism, Viner has visited underserved communities worldwide to work with patients and provide nursing education. Outside of work, she loves to travel and explore the natural wonders of the Bay Area.
