How to Take Vorasidenib/Voranigo and Possible Side Effects

UCSF neuro-oncologist Jennie Taylor, MD, MPH, explains that vorasidenib (also known as Voranigo) is a new IDH inhibitor therapy that can be used to treat low-grade IDH-mutant astrocytomas and oligodendrogliomas. While this medication is not a cure for brain cancer, it may help slow tumor growth. However, this treatment does have interactions with other drugs and tobacco. Patients should talk with their neuro-oncologist to determine if vorasidenib is a suitable treatment option.
