Human stem cell-derived neuron

A Phase I/Ib, Open-Label, Dose-Escalation Study of RMC-5552 Monotherapy in Adult Subjects with Recurrent Glioblastoma

Summary

This is a single-center Phase I/Ib study in recurrent glioblastoma (GBM) to establish a recommended phase 2 dose of the drug RMC-522 in GBM participants. This study will also evaluate safety and antitumor effect of the drug in this patient population.

The PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway is a crucial player in the development and progression of GBM. Aberrant activation of this pathway plays a pivotal role in the regulation of tumor cell survival, proliferation, motility, angiogenesis and metabolism in a variety of cancers, and is believed to be a dominant driver of resistance to anticancer therapies. RMC-5552 is a potent and selective inhibitor of mTORC1, a protein complex that regulates cell growth and metabolism.
