Jean Nakamura, MD

Radiation Oncologist

Specialties: Brain and spinal cord tumors

Dr. Nakamura is a radiation oncologist whose clinical practice focuses on patients with tumors of the brain or spinal cord. She is an experienced practitioner of stereotactic radiosurgery across multiple modalities, including Gamma Knife.

Dr. Nakamura also leads a multidisciplinary research team focused on cancer biology, cancer genetics, and therapy. She is a recognized expert in radiation-induced malignancies, and is currently leading a major project to study the genetics of these malignancies by analyzing tumor samples from pediatric cancer survivors all over the country.
