Dr. Thomas A. Nelson is a neuro-oncologist who cares for patients with tumors of the central nervous system, including both the brain and spinal tumors.

His background is in electrical engineering, and he is interested in using technology to diagnose and treat brain tumors more effectively. His clinical research includes investigations into new medications and devices that may improve outcomes for patients as well as studies that leverage artificial intelligence algorithms to help researchers make new discoveries.
